LIFESTYLE PIECE, EXPAT LIVING

During my time at Expat Living Singapore, I attended beauty and fashion events and wrote lifestyle pieces for the magazine. The piece that was published online discussed 'Things To Do Around Singapore During National Day'. Significantly less formal that my TechCentral piece, the variety of my work shows my ability to adapt to varying circumstances when needed.

PRODUCT REVIEW, TECHCENTRAL IRELAND

During my internship at MediaTeam Ireland, I was introduced to many new aspects of journalism but the main one being Tech writing, alongside press releases and news stories. Having never done a product review or worked for a technology company, the jargon and requirements that were needed pushed me to expand my knowledge on different aspects of journalism, therefore making me a more well-rounded journalist.

Another skill I learnt at Expat Living was how to write press releases. Having to incorporate every aspect of the product and their price point whilst making sound natural was tough for me at the beginning. But after my first three, I got the hang of it and actually quite enjoyed writing them!

PEOPLE OF COLOUR, VOICES MAGAZINE

During my time at university, I was a journalist for a student lead publication called Voices. The magazine focused on giving people a voice who have been silenced by the noise of society.
